Favorite Books Of 2015 So Far…

Up to this day I have read 67 books this year, and there have been a lot that I have liked and definitely a lot of great reads. I won’t go into detail with each, so I’ll just post their description and the links to where you can check them out. Every single one that I will mention has been a great book and you’ll get an idea of what kinds of books I enjoy reading. Right now my favorite genre is NA (New Adult) and I know there are many other great ones out there. Let me know which NA books are your favorite.

The Alabama Summer Series by J. Daniels

Where I BelongAll I WantWhen I Fall

This series has by far been one of my favorite ones. Where I Belong is one of my all time favorite books, much so that it was the first one I ever felt the need to re-read (which was last year a few months after I first read it) then again in April when When I Fall was released. Which I also re-read All I Want, and am really excited for when What I Need comes out. You can find all the details to these books on J. Daniels’ website. But I’ll include the Amazon link as well as the synopsis for Where I Belong below (taken from her website).

Where I Belong (Alabama Summer, #1):

***MATURE CONTENT WARNING***

This book contains a lot of sex and a lot of swearing.

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there’s only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

Confess and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

Maybe Someday Confess

If you follow me on Instagram (@nightreads) you will know by looking at my account that I really like Colleen Hoover’s books. I am so glad I discovered her books a few years ago since she has become one of my favorite authors as well. Maybe Someday was also another re-read for me and I read Confess when it was released in April. Both of these books were amazing and if you haven’t read any of CoHo’s work you are missing out on something great.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy

This book falls under NA (New Adult) and college sports romance, which are some of my favorite types of books. But this one was amazing and I couldn’t put it down. The characters were great from the start and you just fell for them even more as the story went on.

The Deal

Synopsis:

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

…and it’s going to be oh so good

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

The synopsis was taken from Amazon, where you can also find this book.

A Brutal Betrayal Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00065]

I got the chance to get these books sent to me by the author and they are ones that I will not forget. The stories captivated me from the start and I couldn’t stop reading because of the suspense of not knowing what would happen next. Which led me to stay up till around 4am for both books to just finish them. These books were intense and I know I will enjoy reading more of her work.

Fighting Temptation by KC Lynn

This was another book that just kept getting better. It was intense, suspenseful and of course it also had its romance mixed in. Plus the book is still free on Amazon so go grab a copy!

Fighting Temptation

Synopsis:

Julia was different from anyone I’d ever met. I never thought someone so good and genuine existed until her. The more I saw of her the more I became addicted to her. Every time I was around her she would destroy some of the darkness that lurked inside of me. She made the bad shit in my life seem not so terrible. Then, before I knew it, I had fallen for a girl from another world. ~Jaxson Reid

Two unlikely friends—the innocent, good girl and the notorious bad boy. One fateful night brought them together, and they formed a bond—one so strong it was unbreakable—until one night they gave into temptation.

Fast forward five years and Jaxson is back to fix the mistakes he’s made with the only girl who’s ever mattered to him. Only someone isn’t happy with his return, someone who thinks Julia is theirs and they will stop at nothing to make sure it stays that way—forever.

Jaxson will not only fight to protect Julia, but will also battle the new and existing demons that haunt his soul from death, corruption, destruction and war.

This is Book One in the Men Of Honor series. It can be read as a standalone and has a HEA. It’s New Adult Romance and is told from both character’s POV. Due to strong sexual content, coarse language and mature subject matter this book is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Love, Chocolate, and Beer by Violet Duke

I just enjoyed everything about this book, especially the type of relationship that the main characters had. They met their match with each other and it was also really entertaining. Plus it is currently .99c on Amazon so if you haven’t read it go get it!

Love Chocolate and Beer

Synopsis:

Romance has met its most unlikely match-up…

Luke Bradford is a chocolatier on a mission. After moving his chocolate shop, and newly single life, to the quirky town of Cactus Creek, Luke wants nothing more than to devote all his energy into making his business a success—by taking the romance market by storm. But his grand plans get thrown for a loop when he locks horns with the feisty beer-brewing beauty next door who calls his ‘romantic idealism’ a load of fairytale bull. Soon, driving the woman sparking nuts becomes another wickedly fun priority he simply can’t get enough of.

In his defense, she’s addictively easy to incite…and plain impossible to resist.

Beloved local brewmaster Dani Dobson is beyond riled up. It’s bad enough the new shop owner in town comes locked and loaded with both a distractingly rugged charm and sexy flashing dimples, but the whole only-in-the-movies variety of romance he’s selling—the kind her world has been crushed by before—is really doing a number on her allergy to unrealistic clichés. What’s worse, he’s created an annoyingly clever ad campaign that dubs ‘beer joints’ like hers as the “cave where romance goes to hibernate.” The nerve of that man.

Combustible chemistry or not, damn it, this means war. The stakes…very likely, her heart.

Beneath The Layers by Mia Rivers

All I can say about this book is “That ending!” The story was really interesting and I just knew we were missing something but it all became clearer at the end. And although it ends in a cliffhanger, it is one that I still think about. I am really looking forward to seeing how this story goes on in the next book, which according to Mia is in the works.

Beneath the Layers

Synopsis:

I have a secret.

A secret that no-one besides my boyfriend, my mother and I know. A secret from my past which has me trapped in a relationship from hell.

Refusing to tell a soul, I’ve kept it balled up inside for the past few years, trying to seem composed for the world while my reality was the complete opposite. I gave up on any hopes of a different life. A life where love and happiness existed. Alex, personally saw to it himself. He made sure it was drilled deep within my brain. This was the hand that life had dealt me. The life I learned to accept.

Until the day I bumped into Nick.

A gorgeous man who’s haunted my thoughts and awakened my desires. A man, whose persistence turned my world upside down, more than it already was. The same man who also happened to be my boss and had a secret of his own. A secret that I couldn’t decipher, even when it stood right in front of me. A secret that would blow me away.

My name is Tara and this is my story.

*Due to mature content this book is not suitable for readers younger than 18*
